Beau McIntosh is one of the Managing Partners of Catalyst Partners and is responsible for overall management of the firm and its development and investment activities. Beau began his career in public accounting with both Deloitte and KPMG, where he worked as a consultant in private client tax services. Prior to founding Catalyst CP, Beau was a Regional Partner with Dominion Realty Partners, where he developed and acquired over $300M in multi-family, office, and mixed-use projects.
Beau is also a founding Partner of Capstone Apartment Partners, one of the nation’s largest privately-owned multi-housing investment sales brokerage firms with offices across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. Over the last 11 years with Capstone, Beau has helped lead the growth of the company into various new geographic markets and service lines, achieving consistent double-digit company growth every year since inception. Throughout his real estate career to date, Beau has been active in various roles and capacities, including development, acquisitions, investment and asset management, entitlement, property management, brokerage, and project capitalization. His industry experience to date includes a variety of real estate development projects, owned assets, investments, and asset transactions totaling over $2.0B of value.
Beau attended West Virginia University for both his undergraduate Business Administration degree and his Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations, which he earned in 2003. In 2011, he earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, concentrating in Commercial Real Estate Finance and Development. Beau is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council, as well as the Urban Land Institute where he has served on multiple Young Leaders Partnership Forums. He has served as co-chair of the United Way Young Leaders Council and on the Board of the United Way of the Central Carolinas, and currently serves as a Board Member of the Dowd YMCA in Charlotte. In 2013, Beau was selected as one of the Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”, a recognition granted by the publication to the area’s most successful up and coming business professionals. Beau lives in Charlotte with his wife and two daughters.
A.J. Klenk is one of the Managing Partners of Catalyst Partners and is responsible for overall management of the firm and its development and investment activities.
A.J. is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Capstone Apartment Partners, one of the nation’s largest privately-owned multi-housing investment sales brokerage firms with offices across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. Over the last 10 years with Capstone, A.J. has led the company’s business development growth from one office and four employees in Charlotte, to seven offices and nearly 40 employees across the East coast. Capstone is now widely recognized and respected as one of the foremost leaders in the multi-family and land development industries. Capstone’s family-like culture and “team before self” credo is the source of an immense amount of pride for A.J. and indicative of his overall philosophy on life and business.
Throughout his real estate career, A.J. has been active in various roles and capacities, including entitlement, acquisitions, development, investment, asset management, property management, brokerage, and project capitalization. A.J.’s industry experience includes a variety of real estate assignments, development projects, owned assets, investments, and asset transactions totaling over $2.0B of value and including over 35,000 multi-family units.
A.J. graduated from The University of Michigan in 2007 with a Master of Science in Bio-Psychology and Cognitive Science. A.J. is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute and is active in various other professional and philanthropic roles across the region. He enjoys Michigan sports, volunteering, the outdoors, world travel, overseeing the growth of his hospitality industry businesses in Charlotte, and spending time with his wife Caitlin and two boys, Harrison and Jackson.
Chief Financial Officer
Kristin Washam is the Chief Financial Officer of Catalyst Capital Partners. Kristin joined Catalyst in 2021 and is responsible for managing the firm’s financial administration, financial strategy and risk management activities.
For the past 16 years, Kristin has worked alongside some of the most financially sophisticated multi-family developers nationwide.
Prior to assuming the CFO position at Catalyst, Kristin launched and led the outsourced real estate accounting practice at Elliot Davis, a Top 50 accounting firm nationwide. Previous to that, Kristin was a Controller at Terwilliger Pappas a top Southeastern multi-family developer where she oversaw all phases of budgeting, cash flow management and financial reporting for 15+ $50M+ multi-family projects across the Southeast.
Kristin is especially passionate about her meaningful impact on the organizations in which she has worked and the communities in which her teams have developed.
Kristin is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned both her BSBA and Master’s Degree in Accounting, and is a proud mother of two lovely and ambitious young ladies.
With more than 14 years of experience, Ted Hill brings a unique and valuable skillset to the sponsorship team. His experience in commercial real estate spans all sectors, but has always been focused on value-add income capacity.
Ted began his real estate career renovating single family homes in 2004 and graduated to commercial real estate in 2006. To date, he has participated in more than half a billion dollars in transaction volume as both a principal and broker.
Ted has participated in ventures with clientele and investors ranging from small, high net worth individuals to $30+ billion dollar private equity groups. He has experience in brownfield redevelopment, rezoning, adaptive re-use development, bankrupted debt purchases, REO acquisitions, air rights trades, and M&A activity. Additionally, Ted holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
Outside of work, Ted holds a leadership position at Forest Hill Church, Mission Forward, and Hiinga, Inc. He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and studied abroad at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
Kevin joined the Catalyst team in May of 2019 offering experience in financial modeling, market research, and transaction management. Previous to CCP, Kevin began his career with Capstone Apartment Partners, a regional multi-family and commercial land brokerage company where he worked on over $500 million of closed transactions in the Southeast. He obtained a Bachelor and Masters degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Real Estate degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys surfing, golfing, tennis, and watching football and hockey.
